Tips For Managing The Consumption Of Alcohol

Whilst many couples feel that an open bar is necessary to keep their guests happy, controlling alcohol at weddings can be difficult. But there are ways to avoid overindulgence from spoiling your otherwise glorious day:

  1. Limit bar opening hours - We will close the bar at midnight unless otherwise instructed by prior agreement.

  2. Provide a cash bar, where guests have to pay for their own "spirits". It is usual to still provide champagne for toasts at no charge.

  3. It is always a good idea to plan for the end of your evening. Arrange rooms for friends and family you wish have stay over, and transportation for those who may have drunk too much to safely drive home.
